Award winning overall 2009 New Zealand Bacon of the Year - gold medal winner honey cured streaky bacon from Peter Timbs Meats from Christchurch. Sliced and vacuum packed and ready for you to enjoy Sunday morning. Still my most popular bacon that I've listed!!

Peter Timbs won silver in the same category in 2008, but took out the top prize in 2009. They cure and smoke their meat over a period of a week, using a special recipe that has been in the family since 1876. They make minor adjustments occasionally to make sure they get the perfect taste, texture and versatility from their bacon.
